Last visit, we noticed a new condo building being built just past (going further from town) the existing strip on condos on Half Moon Bay from Luna Azul, La Bahia, Villa Flamingo, etc. Anyone know what the name of it is and if it has opened yet? I assume it has since I think it looked mostly done when we were there in February. Thanks!

There is a new building beside La Joya that was also mostly done in March but seems empty . The building I think you mean almost to La Sirena condos seems almost finished but still unoccupied but I was surprised to see this one because I don't recall any construction there last March . The empty lot just past the Mirage , with the access path to Halfmoon had a barb wire fence bisecting the path when we arrived Nov 6th and the north half lot was nearly cleared by the time we left . The initial clearing revealed a huge termite nest , about the size and shape of a car hood , but the host tree was cut down the next day before pictures were taken . A British Columbian can only summon so much anger at clearcutting house lots when we clearcut 100's of hectares daily but the spaces won't be spaces soon .

Juan Rojo, yup, beside La Joya sounds right. It wasn't anywhere close to La Sirena. Definitely the town side of Hacienda de la Tortuga.

The new building next to La Joya, is in fact a house - Casa Fortuna - not a condo building. It's for sale, listed at $2.95 million.
The new building just south of the La Sirena condos, is a hotel.

We walked all around inside the building last August with permission from the guard. There was no pool at that time. Is there a pool now?
Can anyone tell me whether Luna Azul ever finished the refitting? They were supposed to be done on Nov. 1, but it looked unlikely in early September.
