Sometimes the day goes a different way than you planned.

We did not make it to Chamico's today. Too much fun got in the way.

Craig or anybody else: is Chamico's open on Mondays?

As the wife said earlier today...we ate there on Monday last August. I will confirm with the Live From Soliman Bay thread upon making a martini in your kitchen

As it turns out Chamico's is, in fact, open on Mondays.
It was just as great as it was two years ago and they now have margaritas and other mixed drinks.

Not a fan of Tulum at all but Solimon Bay is starting to grow on me. Next trip? We'll see.

Lo ciento, PB!

While we were there yesterday the waiter informed us that they will soon close the place down.
The purchaser of Chamico's land is Palace Resorts.

Well that will definitely change the bay. IMO it will not be for the better for those of us that have been going there the past several years for some quiet, peaceful times. Beautiful stretch of quiet beach at Chamicos. Hope as CC said the plans for it go on and on and on.. Kind of like the Tulum AIrport plans the past several years. Better get some vacation plans for May for the Bay. Change is not easy. We totally miss the good ol' days of Soliman Bay after Wilma, when we first discovered it. Casa de Corazon.. gem of the Beach. lots of memories for sure. Guess we wil see how it pans out. Hope it does not for a resort.

OK... This was not a serious thread.. Get it. Hahahahaha

Craig, mi hermano! Are you the ONLY one who gets my sick humor?

Y'all, I was only trying to play off Palapa Boy's fears that too many folks are finding out about Chamico's.

And by the way, I apologize. It was not palace resorts. The land was purchased by Disney Cruise Lines. Chamico's will be catering their land excursions. Of course Solimon Bay will be dredged because of the enormous size of the Disney ships.

Crap!!!, It is not even close to being fools day..April 1. AND I get sucked into a foolish trick!:) I did get a bit freaked out and I do have to say.. I like your humor . I have always thought Chamicos was a good destination for those floating and supposed unknown fun ocean trash that we are all told to "just walk away from". That big ol ' boat at Chamicos is rumored to be a drug runners boat.. It landed there after Hurricane Wilma. It has a big false hull, or maybe the entire bottom is false. There are so many great stories and tales told and memories that have been made in that great bay. Kind of thinking a Disneyland resort or any resort would not do as well as Chamicos. :)

Holy crap - well I guess I can take the black arm band off.

Obscure humour at best - messing with Chamico's blissful charm and the thought of it getting sold to yet another eco wrecking great big marbelized AI chain IS NOT FUNNY!

Course I guess it serves us all right - pool parties etc. while you are away.

You probably didn't hear that Chamico's was closed then. That it had a big clausurado banner on it. And that Chamico and his family have been evicted, and the chosa burned down.
