First of let me Thank Everybody for their support of Lucys Kitchen here in Akumal.
We have been closed through no fault of our own due to some structure issues of the current Lucys Kitchen.
Working in with the property owners we have settle upon a resolution for Lucys.
I am thinking that we will be in our new structure within the next month or two. Lucys will still be located in the same area of the property with the same outdoor sitting space.
Until then we will be offering Lucys Ice Cream & Tacos at Turtle Bay.
We just set up the ice cream machine and I should have a batch of Salted Caramel rolling out in a little bit. Next will be
Chocolate Habanero followed by Pumpkin.
We will be serving theses ice creams and other assorted items like Dessert Shots, Cookies and Cupcakes at The Taste of Playa
this Sunday so please come see us.
If your looking for great Tacos that are not fried check out the Bakery Taco offerings.
The Tacos Boracho are served with local grilled fish and the what seems to be a really big hit are the
Blackened Fish Taco with Black Bean-Mango Salsa and Poblano Cream.

Thank You so much for your time and patience and we look forward seeing all of you in the future.

Sounds delicious! Never was a fan of the deep fried ones.
See you in Jan!

Can't wait, countdown is short!. It's been 3 years since we've been back to Akumal. We'll be "scouting out" a 2013 summer trip for family of 8 and are of course obligated to try out all of the latest and greatest local fare.... Come on ticker!!!

I've read so much about Lucy's fish tacos and ice cream the past few years but have never been to Akumal to see for myself. Well, I will be there in February so I am glad that you have it worked out and I will be able to finally try some.

We enjoyed our Coconut Ice Cream there last week. A bonus of having "Lucy's Ice Cream" at the Bakery is that is comes in a very nice bowl.

My husband had dinner at Turtle Bay last week and our dinner was wonderful BUT our dessert was heavenly. We had Lucy's Salted Carmel ice cream and when we took our first bite we knew we were in love. We loved it so much that we went back the next day and had it for lunch. NO other Salted Carmel ice cream I have had compares to Lucy's.

Turtle Bay has done a very good job with the new setup beside their restaurant

I would keep it there - cooler under the trees

The salted Carmel sounds delish. But when do u break out the habanero chocolate. Spicy and chocolate are right up my taste buds

I was just there on Friday and the Blackened fish tacos were to-die-for. Absolutely delicious. I'm very disappointed that I was ignorant to the
ice-cream situation. I would have loved to have some coconut ice-cream.

Thanks for the update, we enjoyed Lucy's Ice Cream at your place in Nov.

I loved the way it was served.

Those other taco's sound great, hope to try them the next time we are down there.

We enjoyed coconut and the salted caramel!
Plus, Turtle Bay is our new favorite restaurant for dinner!
Three nights out of six in Akumal last week!
Our fav was the crispy Parmesan fish of the day !
We're going to have to figure out how to make a second trip this year.

We were at Turtle Bay earlier this week and they said they no longer serve the tacos from Lucy's. Is there something I missed?
