I do love me some Que Onda!

Just a great and affordable place to eat.

I don't think it is open now. I believe it is supposed to reopen in late November. It is now the artist colony, so the restaurant is a shell of it's former self. Disappointing in May. Hope they will get some of their mojo back this year.

If they do not open by November 15 I will never forgive them and I will STEAL the Viva mexico recipe card!

How dare these businesses abandon us in our hour of need! This is truly a bleak situation. No Lucy's and now this!

It was not open when we were there the week before Thanksgiving.

Now, who offered to steal the Viva Mexico recipe card? I need it!

I, too was disappointed with Que Onda in May of 2012 after they re-opened. I would not go back unless I heard a bunch of good things.

It's open today. Saw a few tables of people eating lunch there while out for a walk. Note there's a sign that says CLOSED TUESDAYS

Ate at Que Onda last week...my vote for best meal during the stay, which included stops at every place (with the exception of La Lunita and Gynn 'Ak, which never seemed to be open when we were in the mood for lionfish). RU's review was spot on...complimentary bruschetta was yummy, terrific spinach salad with the balsamic dressing, and my Viva Mexico was one of the best pasta meals I've ever enjoyed. Dessert was pretty uneventful, but there's always Lucy's ice cream (try the salted caramel!) down at Turtle Bay, if you don't mind burning off dinner with a nice walk. The place is very secluded and quiet...very romantic and a wonderful departure from the throngs of people at La Cueva (where, for the life of me, people rave about the wonderful fish that they serve...Turtle Bay's daily fish (blackened) puts LC de P to shame).

We ate there last nite (Monday). Stopped by the night before (Sunday) but they were only serving tacos.

On Monday night, however, we had a great meal. The restaurant is less than 1/2 the size it used to be, and the menu has only a few choices, but the night we were there, the pasta was excellent. I had the lasagna, and it was excellent. The three other people in my group had pasta bolognesse, pasta viva Mexico, and pasta Maribel. Everyone was very happy. The wine was also excellent (we had the Malbec) which was 80 pesos a glass or 400 per bottle. The pasta Bolognesse was 130 pesos, the lasagna was 150 peso and the other two were 180 pesos each.

It was VERY dark in the dining area. I am not sure whether they serve the usual pasta fare all week or only on Monday now.

I need to just copy and paste the info from the other thread. It has the hours, days and only tacos on Sunday. I'm limited on my iPhone so ill do it later.

I had this crazy idea last night, while I was building a fire, because it's so freaking cold outside...

I know it's not quite the same, but I wonder if I brought a package of gluten free pasta, cooked it in the condo, then took it to Que Onda, and had them top it with one of the tomato based sauces... I could actually appear to be eating a normal dinner. Hmmm... I'll have to email Maribel and ask.
