Noticed last night when I came in using my iPad that things had changed...so here, are the REST of the links I had originally put in here! I'll add a couple of photos - just as a tease, cause trust me - there's TONS more! Enjoy! This is the area that I snorkeled anywhere from 2 - 5x in a day. Here's one of the sharp tailed eels...I LOVE watching them and the water was so shallow, they were awesome to observe! The link to the rest of the eel photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/107694038661299202256/20120922SharpTailedEels# The octopus my BFF found (her photos are all the ones first; in the sea grass and some in the coral, mine are also in here. Gotta give her credit - she got AWESOME photos!! Way to go Terry! The link to the rest of the octopus photos; https://picasaweb.google.com/107694038661299202256/OctopusAndStarfish# AND I found a brittle starfish - how cool! I had turned my camera off, and only managed to get ONE photo before he scooted over and tucked himself into some coral Scorpion fish! I found about 4 of them in the little area we snorkeled. The link to the rest of the scorpionfish photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/107694038661299202256/20120922Scorpionfish# Saw 4 or more pufferfish/porcupine fish, and my first; burrfish, AND a juvenile burrfish! Link to the rest of the porc, puffer and burrfish photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/107694038661299202256/20120916JamaicaPorcupineFishAndBurrfish Black barred soldierfish - related to the squirrelfish Sand gobys Link to more snorkeling photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/107694038661299202256/20120922JamaicaSnorkeling# And more photos are also here! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4657109946885.2186162.1267446140&type=1&l=fe3b29b938

Thanx for posting! Love the pix, especially the octopix! Outside of your "goldmine", how would you describe the other snorkeling opportunities? I've heard from some that there's not much in the way of decent snorkeling. Always want to consider new horizons. How would you compare trip costs to where you stayed vs. Akumal? TMB
