Cabs are rarely at Bahia Soliman, even on weekends, waiting for passengers. You can probably get a cab in Tulum or even PdC to get there, but getting back is going to be harder by cab. If you don't rent a car, you may find yourself walking from Bahia Soliman to 307 and getting Collectivo. Or you might get lucky and find a cab at Oscar y Lalo, just across 307 from the entrance to Bahia Soliman. I do this walk all the time but it can be very hot in the late afternoon.

There is public access to the beach in Bahia Soliman at 3 points. You have to park your car and leave some id at the security station. Then you can walk on. There are NO public bathrooms. We ask that people take nothing but photos and leave nothing but footprints. There is a restaurant at the North end of the bay at Jashita Hotel (Sahara it's called) with a bathroom. Chamico's choza at the south end has no bathrooms. There are no real facilties in Bahia Soliman, but the water is beautiful and the snorkeling at the South end especially is spectacular. It's a swim of about 200 meters from the shore to coral heads at the South end.

There is a real porcelain toilet in a hut on the property at Chamico's. There is a bucket which you use to carry water from the big barrel outside the hut to then pour down the toilet in lieu of tank flushing it. There was also TP to use.
Better than some of the campgrounds I have used at home!
