Tom - you wear your humiltity wel,l but we all know how many of us you've touched with your passion and tireless pursuit of doing your part to help this endangered species. And major kudos to Maggie, too - what a wonderful lady.
It was so great to see you both. Thanks for letting us tag along and for teaching us about these amazing creatures.
I hope Maggie's foot is ok!

Thanks to all of you. I do it because I love it.

Maggie saw her podiatrist yesterday. It appears that the bruising has healed nicely but the tendons.....not so much.

Result: She is now walking around bolted into an apparatus that is very similar to a ski boot. Total immobilization for the next 3 weeks. It can only come off at bedtime. Not a happy camper but whatcha gonna do? I'll try to get a pic of it and post it here. If you don't hear from me she killed me while taking the pic.

Getting out of a car. Slipped in a small mud puddle and leg folded under her with toes folded under as well. Ruptured the toe tendons. She blames CC since it was his rental car.

I sure hope she's good to go once that boot comes off. I think you should definately motivate her to get better by booking another trip right away (and she didn't even put me up to saying that).

Glad to see Maggie got some support for her 'toes' ! Was this doc as cute as the one in the Hospoten in Playa ??

This was one of the best trips I've had to ABR. Foremost was seeing many old friends, and of course, meeting new instant friends. As many have said, Loco Gringo is a strange, but great camaraderie.

Hopefully only 3 more days of this darn contraption. I'll find out Wednesday exactly how the doctor thinks I'm doing.
Obviously I didn't kill TT for the picture. That's only because I couldn't catch him. Yes, I blamed it all on CC since it he FORCED me to drink a 1/2 shot of this tequila he had at his place. I did and look what happened 6 hours later. And I'm still waiting for the bottle stopper he promised me

Grumpers - no my doctor here is no where near as handsome as Dr Gomez in Playa. In fact I didn't even see my doctor I saw his wife with whom he shares a practice.
Kellee - I like the way you think!
9KrazyCats - Are there really people out there that go to Turtle Bay and don't order the Key Lime pie?? Unthinkable. In fact, I want one right now.

I have to tell you the craziest thing I ever heard regarding this whole thing. It was right after it happened. TT looked down at me sitting in the little mud puddle with my head against the car bumper beside us and both legs splayed out in front of me and he said Hey, you okay?? Oh I'm just fine honey. Just thought I'd take this little old mud bath while I'm down here. But I have to give it up for TT and CC between the two of them they managed to get me out of the mud but my sandals stayed behind. That stuff was really wicked, like trying to stand on marbles.
I have to thank each and every one of you for the care and concern expressed for my well being. Between Serg, Grumpers, Eli, Jan and TT and a host of others I was able to get around somewhat comfortably, I even made it to the Loco Gringo Labor Day party. Everyone helped me tremendously in getting around ABR. I know it's hard to believe but I can be a stubborn, hard headed and determined person, but this little incident has forced me to fess up that I can't do everything I want to do right now. It sucks but that's just how it is. Just for the record I am not changing my LG name to Purple Toes. I am and will always be T.I.T.S or just Toes for short!
Only one thing more to say.........Bring it on Montana! And thanks again everyone.

Still an ongoing ordeal. Doc thinks one of the tendons may be torn. Boot still on, MRI being scheduled. Not what we wanted to hear.
