Toes is constantly entering what I consider to be useless contests online. Sometimes she wins some cute little things. Gift cards, keychains, iPod speakers, things like that. Just got an e-mail a short time ago from Marlboro that I am a Grand Prize winner of a 4 day 3 night trip to a ranch in Montana. She entered in both our names and I won.

5 star eats, snowmobiling, dog sledding, zip lining, casino, and more. $600 cash for pocket money, airfare. Valued at $4800. She's so excited she can hardly breathe, never won anything this big in her life.

Guess she proved me wrong, huh? The kid and I talked about skiing in Montana many times. I'll have to find out where this place is, maybe there's a mt. nearby.

Dang Tom. Good on you. Montana seems like a beautiful place to go. I fear there isn't much of a sea turtle population but be sure and take pics.

HA! Nope, no turtles there.

I loved Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Yellowstone in the winter so I have no doubt I'll love this. It's a short getaway but it will be at a time of year that we'll be ready for one. We have to take it in Jan., Feb.,or March 2013.

Bring a fly rod if you are so inclined.
There are some excellent trout waters out here in the wild, wild west.

Oh, and I'm guessing that there is a lot of "smoking sections" on this trip...

We love Montana. Think it's changed now but the speed limit signs used to say "reasonable and prudent", so you could go 125 if you thought it was prudent!

Montana is famous for many things. I can't think of any of them.

Being an ex-Idahoian, in my younger years we took many trips over to the Big Sky State. St. Regis was always fun and the Everclear that we couldn't buy in the Spud State was always flowing.

If you're close, check out Glacier National Park - the glaciers won't be there much longer, so see it while you can.
