Do you have sporting goods store or a dive shop you could go to so you can see some different ones and try them on? I know it's not the answer you really want, but the right one will be the one you're most comfortable in. I'd suggest looking at ones that the crotch straps. They're not uncomfortable and using the crotch strap can lessen the chances of the vest riding up around your neck when you're in the water.

I think the inflatable ones are the best because you can adjust the amount of air depending on your own bouyancy. I'm a natural floater, especially in salt water. I don't wear my vest. Just put a bit of air in it for safety, and tie my camera to it and pull it along. And as Nancy said, less air, less ride up. Also much easier to pack.

Nipper, I like that ScubaPro vest. Is it inflatable so that if I wanted to dive down, I could release the air for diving? I have never had a snorkel vest before, but figured as I get older, I should be a bit more safety concious. Well, that, and I'm lazy, so a vest will keep me from having to tread as much. lol
