I would recomend that they bring their jackets. In general AI pools run from .75 to 1.5 metersand there are some resorts that have wading pools for real young ones. Have fun

Sorry, I don't know the depth. Our son was about 7-8 years old when he stopped needing his arm floaties in their pools. You may want to try arm floaties, they're less bulky for the kids. Our son preferred them, he felt like he was able to play more easily. When he was smaller he spent most of his time in the shallow end of the Akumal pool, by the swimup bar. We also really liked the Coba pool that had the zero-entry area (their quiet pool, I believe).

Sorry I didn't know the depth, I went back & looked at pictures but none of them showed where it was written on the side.

The two youngest are 7 and 8 so I know they are close to being able to stand with head out of water. I just found out how cheep arm floaties are it sounds like a good way to go.

Just a thought....do they know how to swim?.....teach them before they go....it is a lifelong skill that they will use and enjoy..."floaties" are just a lazy way to prolong life in the water....what do you do if the things deflate?........swim baby.......!!

I was a lifeguard in Highschool....still look at stupid behaviour around swim pools and comment on it, because of stupid parents...if you want to lose your child, put them in a swimming pool without the skills to save themselves.....just my opinion...and a pretty accurate one when the water takes a life from us....

They have been working on their swimming but it would be nice if they can stand with their head out of the water. I do worry about them running around the pool but that is what grand parents do but they will be watched. I find if you can keep them entertained the play stays pretty safe and they love when grandpa jumps in pool with them.

We are staying Coba but being kids they are going to want to try them all. Do you know depth at Coba Sundog?
