ORIGINAL: sandinmypants I try to spend at least a few hours in the office every day - but I seldom do much work. I think they just like to have me here in case they need me to do something - so I show up every day and tend to my personal business, play some computer games and such, and then ask if they need anything done.... and then go work out or run errands - come back and ask if they're going to need anything the rest of the day.... and then go home. But when they DO need me, I work like crazy because they always want stuff done NOW. And, sometimes the bosses will swear (not at me, of course, just in general), so it's kind of a stressful environment. I'm the person that does whatever they need - run reports, type up contracts, shopping (I hate that one!) .... No benefits, and no guarantees this small company will be here until I retire. But for now, I love it! Are they hiring? Customer service supervisor for a large company here. Love the customers (most of) but get tired of the empire building, mostly played by people in the corporate office who don't understand that if there wasn't a product being manufactured they wouldn't have a job (apparently they can't add 2 + 2, but by gosh they ARE important people!) As for taking over the edge, looks like SIMP gave it a good run today. Not as easy as it looks, someone always foiling your plans I'd say try it late in the evening since you're in a westerly time zone. It's also harder if you are at work and keep getting interrupted from the important stuff. Good luck in your quest!

Eight years ago my wife and I gave the "finger" to the corporate world, quit our jobs, moved from MI and bought a Wine & Cheese store three blocks from the Atlantic ocean. Now it is time to completely retire. Anybody want to buy a Wine & Cheese store?

Nondestructive testing or Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.[1] The terms Nondestructive examination (NDE), Nondestructive inspection (NDI), and Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) are also commonly used to describe this technology.[2] Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a highly-valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research. Common NDT methods include ultrasonic, magnetic-particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, remote visual inspection (RVI), eddy-current testing,[1] and low coherence interferometry[3] .[4] NDT is a commonly-used tool in forensic engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, systems engineering, aeronautical engineering, medicine, and art.[1]
