Thanks, Doug, we're really looking forward to the show. It's going to be held at an outside amphitheater, & the weather guessers are saying sunny skies, calm wind, temp should be in the low 80s, just about perfect.

I heard this girl is one of the opening acts. Hopefully, she'll do a little Heart.

Jim, thanks for the video link. I'm not really familiar with Gretchen Wilson, but the girl sure can sing.

How did it go Paul? I hope you guys enjoyed and thought of me when you got to the drum roll on La Grange.

Doug, we actually did think of you while watching the guitar tech during the 3 Doors Down set.

We had a great time, all 3 bands were excellent, although the boys from ZZ Top were moving a little slower than when I last saw them 30 some years ago. Still, they put on an awesome show. Only bad thing is we were only 8 rows back from the stage, I took tons of pix, but when I went to upload them today, the SD card was corrupted.
I do have a couple that Babs took with her camera...

Love that drum kit!

Yeah, Doug, some of the best seats we've ever had at a concert. ZZ Top was awesome, one full set, then a break for wardrobe change...out came the fuzzy guitars and they played a few more classics. Word around the casino was that they did some heavy duty gambling in the casino the night before.
As part of the package Babs bought, we got VIP wristbands which gave us discounts on drinks at a VIP only bar, food before the concert, and our hotel room was only about 300 yards away from the venue.
Fun times!

Sounds like a great time Badger.

I hate to admit it, but it's been quite awhile since I have seen the Top live. Last time was the Texas Romp'n Stomp'n BBQ at Memorial Stadium here in Austin (1975). I just got out of the Army and re-enrolled at UT. Went with several friends.

Preceding acts in order was Joe Cocker, Bad Company (with special appearance of Jimmy Page), Santana, and then ZZ Top. All day & most of the night affair. 1st and last concert done there. Lost of damange to field and bathrooms occured.
