Well, when I was down in Akumal the end of Apr/early May, I knew I wanted to go out with Quickie's group again. Whether I could put a group together, or went solo and hooked up with a group...I was going! I hooked up with a group on Apr 30th, and had such a great time, I'm so glad I did it again!

A little 'trip report' that I've just put 'out there':

In February, I contacted Amy, and chartered the Paso Doble for a sail for 22 of us, then went out again the following week on the Raiatea for another stellar time!

Well, I was back down in Akumal for 12 days in Apr/May, and naturally I wanted to connect with my new friends! Amy was happy to help me (solo trip, and wanted to hook up with a group).....BUT, they're tours include transportation from your accommodation!

I met up with Stephanie and the group in Akumal, We went to the Garden of Eden Cenote for a wonderful lunch, and some great fun swimming and jumping off the edges into the cenote. I couldn't have been happier with this group!! We had a great time at the cenote and then headed into Pto. Aventuras to board the Paso Doble for our sunset sail. The crew on these cats, are GREAT!!! Everyone is polite, friendly, and lots of fun! (And they make 'the best' margaritas EVER).

This was my 3rd trip out with them, and I know it won't ever be my last. Every time we go back, we'll make a point of heading out with this wonderful group of people, I now call friends.

If anyone is thinking of a tour...don't think past Local Quickies (Captain Quickies), you won't find anyone better - in the Roo!!! Guaranteed!!

(Divers doing some cave diving training!)

Everybody dance now!

This lady was in her 60's...and she was having the best time! lol

Little Coal taking the helm!

Stephanie (in the centre, black top) has the best job! Oh, BTW, they make the best margaritas I've ever had!

Amy and Quickie............the HEART & SOUL of the business.......and I'm proud to call them friends!

Sunset on the water....

Announcing our return!

NO IDEA Kim! I've been trying to figure it out too. There were also these guys, who would raise up their dorsal fin - in either a threat to the other, or as some sort of attraction. Not too sure which, but the guy with the orange face has his fin UP. (ha ha )

edit; just google imaged ;cenote fish, and I think the additional one I just posted is a sailfin molly. The others might be cichlids (both of which you will find in fresh water aquariums in your local fish stores).
