Martin L. Swig Dies at 78;

Started Vintage Car Rally

When seen today, rare cars like a 1925 Lancia Lambda, a 1941 Tatra T87 or a 1953 Alfa Romeo 1900 Pininfarina Coupe are usually standing still, consigned to car shows, dealers’ showrooms or inelegant trailers.

 Norman Sas, 87 creator of ELECTRIC FOOTBALL! It was said he created it in the 40s but it didn't really take off until the late 60s. I actually purchased this model for $3 at a garage sale a few years ago.

  We had one of those! Incredibly stupid game. The players would just sort of vibrate across the field and go in any direction.
We tried to "kick" the little magnet ball one time and it went right in my brother's mouth.

Magnet? You guys must have had an upgraded model. My football was simply a small ball of lint. We used to crack up when two opposing players would lock arms and dosido for the rest of the play.

Dead Thread, Thread of the Dead, Grateful Thread of the Dead, all good with me.

They say that these things happen in "threes", so in my twisted mind I invision a huge hotel in the sky with nothing but three bedroom apartments. That said, we now have Ray Bradbury and Herb Reed awaiting their final roommate in their new abode. When it's my "time to stink", please find a nice TV animal, like Lassie to share my apartment with me.
[/quote

So Doug, Shall we include this in your GREAT MOMENTS IN LIFE? Well said!
