Wow, Jan, blown away by your photos once again. Have you entered any in the LG "contest" at the top of the page?

Spent the best time today with my three-year-old nephew going through your photos. He loved the fish and turtle photos -- although, to be honest, he wasn't into the beach or other building/vaca shots. He's only 3 so I think we should cut him some slack. I will make sure he "sees the light" when he gets older.

ORIGINAL: Akumal GanG How cool is that pic of the eagle ray? Just amazing. Jan, I don't know how you do it, going to the dog rescue place. I'd have to take a roll of duct tape for my broken heart and at least two boxes of Kleenex. I've sent money, but I just can't face the eyes of those darling dogs when I'd have to say good-bye. Kudos I'm just seeing this response now, and my apologies for not addessing this sooner. I go - because they're important to me. They (Ricardo and Lisa specifically) mean the world to me for what they do, but more importantly, they mean the world to the dogs they rescue. I donate to them very very regularly, and have since before the sanctuary was started. I LOVE to see those dogs. If you could see the 'joy' on their faces...when Ricardo is walking amongst them, you'd know you were in the prescence of a true 'pack leader'. Ricardo is very very humble, and he LOVES those dogs. I have 3 dogs myself, and help to bring his dogs up to Toronto to fosters and hopefully forever homes. I will always be available to lend a hand to him if I can...and for these reasons....I go!

Wow Jan! I am just seeing these for the 1st time. To think that I had YOU trying to help me with my pictures the last day we were there! Thank you for helping me get the boats in the bay that morning. Your suggestions would have turned out even better, had I realized that my lens was cloudy earlier. (Thanks for that too, by the way). So nice to meet you and thanks for being so willing to help me out. I hope we meet again.

Those are beautiful pictures and the photos looks professional. I also like to live on the ground floor because of easiness.

Thanks so much Fins ...not only for sharing such wonderful pics ...but also for getting me out of my funk. I was upset and feeling sorry for myself about the possibility of the demolition of ABR's Moonrise Bar. Your wide assortment of brilliant pictures woke me up and reminded me who the real star of the area is and what is most important ...it is Akumal Bay itself, along with the rest of the surrounding natural beauty of Caribbean Mexico. The Mexican people and the friends made there are a close second.
