You "almost" got your drink at the bar for free but you weren't in time. Now it costs $3.50.

ORIGINAL: FinsUP saw it as an option when buying package deals, Toronto to cancun...it's on trip central's website. I've never seen it before and can't find out where the description of that option is.... Yesterday (March 6th) I got a call from our package booking agent, we are booked on a XXXquest package for April, back to ABR. He start off by saying “I deeply regret to inform you that there are some changes to your previously booked all inclusive package to Akumal Beach Resort” Oops there goes the coffee, sat down real quick, heart in my throat, “Oh No”! Visions of fire, plague, pestilence etc. ran through my head. “They no longer include Tennis, a Disco, an InterNet Café or water sports. You can rent snorkeling equipment and swim with the turtles for a fee. We are very sorry for these changes. May we offer you some travel vouchers from XXXquest to make up for this?” I blew it, I was laughing too loud to play hard ball with him. XXXquest didn’t do their homework before writing their listing on ABR. That is why they now say it is almost all-inclusive. Robbie

Since this is our first time to an ai, I think "Almost All Inclusive" would've actually appeal to me more!

I was just cruisin around booking sites just an hour or so ago and saw that reference at the site mentioned. I was kind of curious what they were talking about, but kinda suspected it would be the things Animooshe mentioned. They are things that they haven't really haven't had for a few years already.

Fire? Plague and pestilence? Those are the excuses last two times we booked, 2008 and 2009. We sort of fell into this year's trip, NOT to ABR. We smiled and said, "Thank you SOOO much!" One of these years we may try to book ABR again. Be afraid...be very afraid. Mas aventuras con nuestra misaventuras, y'all!! Richard, Mr. Read!

ORIGINAL: Read! . Be afraid...be very afraid. Mas aventuras con nuestra misaventuras, y'all!! Richard, Mr. Read! My only fear was that our trip was cancelled. There is nothing at ABR that scares me, except the tequila. We are low maintenance people. Any lack of service or amenity would just slide on by like a frigate bird on the wind. What did they give you in travel vouchers?? Take all you can. It is great when you get a bonus.

The fire forced us to CRT, fourth option from our T/A when we nixed the first three. H1N1 defaulted us to Grand Sirenis as Mom insisted we didn't need trip insurance. T/A(jr. asst.) couldn't understand why we didn't want Puerto Aventuras; I coined the the phrase "snorkel 'til you wrinkle." Mom was right, we didn't need trip insurance...that trip. I don't remember "third visit lobster," but we were looking forward to planting a tree. Next time we book ABR, be afraid.... Seriously! Mas misaventuras, y'all!! Richard, Mr. Read!
