"Detention Club... the view from the 'seedier' side of the hood" :)

That's my favorite side Folks are too "nose in the air" on the less seedier side in my HOP. No pun intended. Not that I do the HOP anymore, but the reality is still there. Hey, I was thinking maybe we could take the Yaks in for Pedi's, but only the place where they serve wine. Yak talons would work graet in the sand, no? Hi MM sorry I wasn't there last night, but I was in my own silly world. Yak on!!

Snort, Deb!!! :D
I'm picturing yak-snouts all probing at wine glasses, yaks all lined up in those dryer chairs... awesome visual, thanks!!
Yeah, sorry we missed MM -- but not worried, 'cause we know he had a graet time! We'll have to pay better attention on Fridays, eh?

RJ- best you just grab hold of this margarita stem and put that saw thing down! Don't think we want to ruin two yurts in one day! ;D

Whew! Big day here of mowing, weed whacking and laying down a few more planks on the bedroom floor upstairs.
John just went out to pick peas. Mosquito Flash Mob going on, so he wore a balaclava to keep them out of his ears and off his neck. I had to take photos! Will post some time when I get them downloaded - he looked pretty funny out there in 80 degree temps.
Sippin a cider and chillin now, contemplating dinner - steamed snow peas, potatoe salad and sauted white stripe shrimp.
In celebration of the Stones 50th got them qued up on the I-pod - Dead Flowers playing now.
Yak pedis - hmm, what color to choose?? All the same or the Smarty pack???

You been taking speeling lessons from Marg Man there 1??
On a semi-related note, my physiosherapist (my HERO!) recommends drinking as a way to lift weights! Start out with a full bottle, do enough bicep curl reps to empty said bottle, then start again. He says it the pyarmid style of weight lifting - see why he's my hero??

I once knew a yak form yurtville....

who drank til he made himself ill.
Ferns the next day
rolled him out of the hay
and he's drinkin again on the hill.

Limerick?...perhaps song....

I was drunk last night dear mother
I was drunk the night before
but if you'll forgive me mother
I'll never get drunk anymore

Haiku!?!

Did someone say yak?
Trade your worries for some ferns.
It's 5 o clock here.

HEM and I are collaborating, she's the poet and doesn't know it. Could it be the ferns?

All rightGma Deb! The poet laureate of Yurtville, we need one of those! All the other fun jobs are gone - yak herder, blender man, cannon feeder, olive stocker, fern tester...

WAIT!

Who called fern tester already?! Can there be a team of fern testers? And olive stuffers?

Poet Laureate. That's sounds official...and fancy.

This calls for another haiku!

My red solo cup,
Please don't give it to the yak.
He doesn't share well.

Well that's just such a beautiful Haiku it brought tears to my eyes... but I'm still waiting on the limerick

Waiting here with a fern soaked in good rum. Yaks are eyeing my choice of cerebral clouder. When does the next poem reading start?

Tuesday's Haiku

Pass the rum soaked ferns.
Why did we make them soggy?
Makes them hard to light.
