We are trying out the Bungalows for a few nights on our next trip.  Never stayed there before.  I see that the Hotel has a pool that Bungalows guests can use.  Are there shade palapas/beach chairs that are available for us to use as well?  Or do you have to "rent" the ones at Lol Ha if you want beach chairs?

Also, I have heard the beds are pretty hard.  That's not a big deal for me, but I can totally see my husband being in pain after one night.  Can you request an egg shell cushion or some sort of pad if needed?  Thanks for any info!

We stayed in the bungalows in July, love them.....yes, the shaded palapas and chairs come with the room.  We didn't think the beds were to hard, like them.
Not sure about about the bed cushions.

We always bring our own bedtopper

Put it in those vacuum bags and leave it down there

Love the Bungalows.    We requested mattress toppers and got them.  They really did help.   There are specific palapas to the north and south of the Dive Center that are reserved for guests of the hotel and bungalows.   Go to the chair guy that's adjacent ( to the south of Dive Center), give him your room or bungalow number, and he will bring your chairs (free) to the palapa or spot of your choice.

By the way, when we were down in July, Lol-ha had started a "Taco Stand" at the overhang south of the main restaurant. ( Beside the new ice cream/coffee shop).  The food was WONDERFUL and so cheap.   Hope they are still doing that.  We were there the first day they tried it and it was like bees to honey.

Terri

Thanks for all the info!  Tacos, ice cream, beach chairs, shade ... I think we are going to like this place.

There's also a pavilion adjacent to the pool with seating, BBQ and tables. Great for when it rains or you want to get out of the sun.

Frank, as of last month the BBQ grill was gone...go figure.....but the shelter is great for eating flat chicken and hanging was a great group of friends.

Your right Shifty it's a great place to hang out. Especially when it's raining. If I remember right, that's your beer on the table. Your holding one in your right hand we can't see. You asked my brother to hold one for you and my wife decided to take a swig of the one you asked her to hold!

I hope in the future we all can do this again, that was an awesome day and trip.

OMG, Frank.  I didn't think she'd do that!  Well, good for her.  Man, I hope we can get together again sometime!

Shifty...never trust ANYone to hold your beer.  I thought I taught you better than that.

Thanks for the pic Frank.  Yes, my wife and  another family used it in a similar fashion.  I made a tray full of vodka tonics in our bungalow and to the delight of all, I delivered them to that very spot.  A merry time for all by the pool.

Frankly, I found the bed in our bungalow to be one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever had in Mexico.  No additions needed.  I am someone who has had to endure back issues from time to time too.

Enjoy.

Good to hear!  Thanks for the info.  I know we are going to love it there.  I just hope we don't regret moving over to HMB halfway during the trip!  Can't wait!

Well Craig I was just ribbin' Shifty.  That's probably a Coke she's drinking.  She does have an ocassional daquiri.  Matter of fact I think she had 3 one happy hour at Lol-Ha. (I about had a heart attack!)  As for my brother, if you ask him to hold your beer, you might as well go get yourself another.  I agree, we all need to get together.  Hopefully soon!
