Thanks for the welcome. I just joined after reading this forum for the past two months. We'll be visiting the Yucutan Peninsula in July '08 for the first time.
The info I've found in these pages has been most helpful, and I'll continue to educate myself regarding trip planning as much as I can between now and July.

Congrats bride to be. I am also from Colorado and if I were getting married anytime soon the maya is where I would go. I have ha several friends married there as well as witnessed many while staying at various places. Great choice and good luck!

Been reading since '01, new member recently. At ABR 2001 and going back for 25th anniversary in May '08. If it weren't for Locogringo, may never have found Akumal.

hi all! i just introduced myself in the introductions topic -- i'm marjorie from nyc.
i'm wondering if any of you have stayed at villas gemelas, or know someone who has? how coral-y is the beach directly in front of the property? is it a comfortable place to stay? we're doing a big family trip this winter and i want to make as many of my picky relatives happy as humanly possible! Gary, Kay and all LG participants. I would like to thank you all for making this a fantastic resource and community.
I'm home for a few days for some post-op recovery and I plan to go on a posting binge in order to have that LG cooler and those sharpies in time for our mid-march visit.
