Looks great, at least from work. I'll try to tweak my home firewall to get things working at that end tonight!

Nice new digs, guys. Mark, is this script reasonably easy to work with? At work we're considering adding a discussion forum to our site and have looked at Snitz and PHP. How do you think they compare?

We also looked at Snitz but it didn't match our basic requirements as well as this software. We also evaluated FuseTalk, another very nice package - though at significantly greater expense than this. We wanted a package which would run well on Windows 2003 Server, be able to house the data with MS SQL 2000, and be scalable to large traffic volumes. This fit the bill at a reasonable cost.

It is quite stable. And it is packed with thoughtful features. It was very easy to install and set-up, is relatively easy to administer, though customizing the look-n-feel to match the site was not as easy. They will be releasing a new .NET version this Fall.

Regards,

Mark

I once knew a rental car trasher in Florida who liked to drink that while driving at night with no lights

I have lurked for years just to get a little Akumal while I am away. I enjoy the feeling but the board was an extremely clunky version of BBS software and not convenient. This is great. I visit a lot of football BBS and I see various formats. This is attractive and user friendly. I realize this represents a lot of work. Great job!!!

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and I will be in Akumal for 10 days in January. I am so fired up. My only downer is that if my team, OU, is in the college championship game I will not be home. Oh well, Lol-Ha here I come.

Hello Gary and Kay!

This is a great little forum! I am getting more research done on Riviera Maya than all the other travel sites put together! This is a great resource for all of us that will be or wish to visit that amazing part Mexico!

Muchas Gracias Amigo!

Kay & Gary.......I am fairly new to this board but have to say it is great, as is your whole LG site. It is so easy to navigate and very fast. I frequent several boards (not all travel related) and yours is simply the best. Thank-you for providing excellent info!!!!

This site is spectacular. I'll be coming down to Puerto Moralos this Saturday and staying at a friend's new condo. I'll also be looking at real estate and already have an appointment with Tony at Akumal Real Estate.
But, I have noticed at your site a list of villa names that are for sale. Sadly, I've had no luck in finding out the prices of these fantastic places.
Is there another realtor that you are working with? Could you supply me with a website or name.
Thanks,
Kathleen

Wonderful message board. I am a new member and have gleaned tons of good information from all of your posts. Locogringo is the best web site I have found while surfing instead of working. I am practicing posting much like doctors are practicing medicine.

Must say that this is an amazing site! I learned about this site from NEEDABEACH!!!....she is soon to be my new "MOM". I don't like the term (mother-in-law) She deserves a better title than that! I was visting one night and her and we could not stop searching!! I guess it is a pretty good addiction to have.

My name is Heidi. I am from Colorado as well, seems we have an abundance of LG's from CO. Two months ago the man of my dreams (Nick) asked me to marry him. So there you have it, I AM the bride-to-be!!!!

Nick and I are pretty set in getting married in Mexico and we have narrowed it down to The Riviera Maya. My side of the family does not seem too excited about this idea. I think I just need to get them on this site and see all the wonderful places with ideas in mind. I am half way there because Nick's side of the family is ALL FOR IT!!!! Almost like their bags are packed and they are waiting for the date. I would like to make it that simple for me. HELP!

So with that said, all you loco gringo's out there with ideas or know of resorts that preform great weddings, I am anxiously waiting to hear from you!!!

Glad to be a part of your wonderful clan!!!!!!
