Hey Chico,
Are these mileposts from the Belize border, I assume? So, they are not kilometers?

The Km markers start at 0 at the intersection of hwy 307 and hwy 186 just west of chetumal. By the way, its marker 65 at the turnoff to Mahahual and Xcalak.

I might be missing the "boat" here or not understanding the post. But in January we were driving back from Merida to Cancun. The closer we got to Cancun the farther the km's were saying. One sign would say 69 km to Cancun, the next would say 81 km to Cancun, the next would say 52 km to Cancun, than back to 69 km....something like this but one really never knew the exact "mileage".
..sorry if I interpreted this post wrong...

Not miles, kilometers. 60 km is about 37 miles
