I am so glad that I found loco gringo. The information here is wonderful and extremely helpful. I have done a ton of research for our trip and have visited many sites. Now that I found this one it has been the only one I go to on a daily basis because I know there will always be new information that will be useful in planning. Thanks to all those who make this site a huge success

This is a wonderful forum! I have been collecting more and more information on the Rivera Maya every day! I gather the info and then share whatever I find with my hubby when I get home (yeah, I should be working...but who wants to work when you have a trip upcoming!)

Kay and Gary, I've finally wandered over from the trip advisor and Playa.info forums. Your site is colorful and very easy to navigate. Looks like lots of good information. We just returned from IB* Beach last month and can't wait to hit the Playa scene again. I've posted a couple of pics from our visit to Senor Frogs! Next trip we are looking at The Shangri-La Caribe.[:)]

I live in CO also! Congrats on your wedding! If you want small and cozy, I would recommend Blue Sky Casitas on Tankah Bay......check out their website. They have some incredible wedding photos..... I'd do it in a heartbeat. good luck!

Hello all. I am a first time message writer. My wife and I fell in love with Akumal during our first visit in 1997. Our love of Akumal is not only the natural beauty, but the people. I have never been to a place where the people are so friendly and helpful. We have always stayed at the "Reef" condos on half moon bay. We have become friends with a couple that work at the condo, Roberto and Patricia. Roberto and Patricia live in the Pueblo with their 2 little girls. My wife and I are very concerned for the safety of all the people of Akumal, but we are espically concerned for Roberto and his family. Can anyone tell me what precautions are being taken the well being of the people of the Yucatan?

I absolutely love the new format! It is a great collaborative tool with such good information. I will be getting ready for my girl trip in September and this site will come in handy! Thanks for all your hard work so that we can get a glimpse of what a special place Akumal really is.
